WSOP Main Event Final Table
Eric (who organizes the meetup group) decided to have a party so a whole bunch of us regular poker players headed over there to watch the final table show. Played a little chinese poker, ate some pizza, and had some good ol poker conversation. I tried to avoid all news outlets so I wouldn't find out prior to the broadcast who won. Overall, I think it turned out really well for poker. I read somewhere it was the highest rated show and they'll probably do this again next year. Except next year I don't plan on watching it but playing the final table. I thought it was pretty lame that they didn't show Kelly Kim's bust out hand though. C'mon, its the MAIN EVENT FINAL TABLE and theres only 9 of them. The least you can do is show his bust out hand regardless if it was dramatic or not. I also wouldn't mind seeing more "poker" on the broadcast instead of your usual "tv poker" where its all big suckouts or your KK vs QQ type crap. Seriously, if you were clueless on poker, you'd really think that those situations happen every 4 minutes. With that said, I still liked the production of it. It turned out good. Next year, you guys will be cheering me on!
