This game they call poker.....

Since my last entry, I've played 4 times:

10/3 League Game - Got knocked out early and it was done dirrtty.  300/600 level all in preflop for 10K.  QQ vs 88 vs AK.  I flop top set, 88 also flops a set, goes runner/runner straight for AK.  Sick.  Currently ranked 6th overall but will drop out of top 10 this week because I'm not playing this week.

10/4 - Ultimate mix tournament - 15 different game variations, chop 4 ways.  $50 profit.  Now 2 for 2 in the mix tournament in cashing.

10/5 - .25/.50 session for $26.50 profit.  Not bad considering I was in to the game $100 after taking some hits.

10/8 - .25/.50 session for +163 profit.  Started off strong and finished strong.  Played good poker and lost minimum on a few hands where I could have lost more.

So basically, I'm doing really well in cash.  My tournament game is hurting my bankroll and thats why I don't think I'll return for the next league season.  Thats not set in stone but tournament poker is so up/down thats its really hard to make money doing it.  I don't think the risk/reward ratio is worth it every single week.  I'm basically using my cash winnings to play in the league and thats not a good way to build a bankroll, especially when you're not cashing.  I need to get my bankroll accruing again to make the WSOP run.  Not to mention I'm going to try the Venetian Deep Stacks again in Nov.  Speaking of which, heres the Vegas plan.  Nov 15, be in San Diego for the Utah game.  Drive to LV Sunday.  Play Sunday night tourney at the Wynn, Mon Venetian, Tues Venetian, Drive home Wednesday.  I think Hyde and I will wind up flying into SD Sat morning and meet up with Wil and Bruce who will be driving to SD on Thurs.  I NEED to cash in one of those tourneys.  Wish me luck....

Other things:  Peyton is getting big.  She's starting to roll around and babbles all the time.  She's sitting up and curious about the whole world.  Cutest darn thing, I tell you what.  Can't really imagine my life without her now.  She's already watching football with her dad on Saturdays and Sundays so thats a good sign.  Been doing well in sports handicapping this year too.  ALOT better than the last couple of years.  Took a different approach and its paying off.  Lets just hope I can keep it up.  Thats about it for now.
