Poker Lesson Guy Guys
$.25/.50 $50 max NL Holdem
Have you ever sat at a table where theres a guy who knows it all and proceeds to give out poker lessons on how everybody should play their hand? Of course you have! Well, I sat with 3 of those guys last night. Mr "I put you on a hand guy, EVERY SINGLE HAND" "I wouldn't play it that way guy" etc etc etc. Thank god I brought my headphones and just drowned out the noise. Example: EP raises $2.50, 4 callers, SB (highest stack by far)goes AI for some absurd about over $100. One of the limpers (self proclaimed best poker player from her talk) goes on and on about how its a ridiculous bet and she knows she has the best hand and didn't want to risk that much money (she has $20 behind mind you) and its just ridiculous poker for someone to go all in for that, blah blah blah and she folds QQ. (Funny note, one of the other know it all guy guys is her husband....Wierd.) SB turns over 99 and she fumes and knew she had the best hand and should have called yada yada yada. Get some fucking balls and call and quit your bitching seriously. Her husband starts comforting her and saying even if he had AA, he'd fold there because its just not worth the risk to lose that much money. WTF!? I don't know if thats true but if it is, then you shouldn't be playing poker if you value your money that much. These two are also the "I shoulda called with my 5 9 because I ran out a boat guy guys". Or the "I knew you had nothing when you were betting guy guy but they're sitting there with the 2nd nuts" ALL NIGHT, seriously. Do I sound annoyed or what! I honestly don't mind table banter and talkers. Hell, all I do is bullshit all night at the table. But rarely, is my bullshit about how someone plays poker or even poker in general. I'm usually talking about just off the wall stuff that doesn't even relate to poker just to keep entertained.
Anyhow, lost the first buy in when I had QJ on a JJ2 board vs KJ (ouch!). Then won most of it back with 22 on a AA2 flop and guy had AQ. Seriously, those were the only 2 pertinent hands for the night. Everything else, was missed draws, big pairs not holding up, etc etc. Sucked! In $100, out $38. Not a good night.
Until next time!
