Friday League Game
Felt good going into the game and thought I'd finally make some noise in this league. Took very little risk but at the same time, played pretty aggressive. The first big pot I scooped, I held 
and flopped the 2nd nut flush in early position in a multiway pot. The nice thing was, I was even dictating the action on this hand, as people were firing all around me. With the flop action, I felt pretty confident I had the best hand. The turn did pair the board but I think a set would have raised the flop, given the structure. 4 way action on the turn and I checked, hoping to make it look like I was still drawing. LP bets, we lose one, I call as does my immediate left. River was a rag, and I thought for sure someone would bet again but it was checked around. I was still able to scoop a monsterous pot.
I went into the first break, sitting right around 15K and feeling great. In the 2nd level after the break, this hand came up. Blinds 200/400, I raise to 1600 behind 2 limpers with
on the button. I looked over and both blinds look disinterested and felt I could take the pot down right here. However, to my surprise I got one caller. Flop 
and she leads out for 3K. At this point, I had here either on a flush draw, or middle pair, hoping I missed the flop. I raised to 9K. She reraises AI, another 7K. Huh? I couldn't put her on AK or KQ here, because I've seen her open raise with those type of hands before. KJ was a good possibility but I still felt like she was making a move on the pot. She really looked uncomfortable and I just felt like she was very strong at all. I called for my tournament life and she tabled 
. Perfect! Sick call, sick read. I thought I'd take a big chip lead at this point in the tournament but I was wrong. The river fell the dreaded 
and GG TK. I swear, everytime in this league I get knocked out on coolers or huge suckouts. I know its part of poker but DAMN, reward me once in a while for making good decisions poker gods! Just got home from the game and I needed to vent a little bit.
