I spent that entire first week of June with no poker.  Didn't think poker and didn't even get the itch to play.  Spent my time hanging with family and friends and enjoying the outdoors.  It seemed like my brother and I fished every single day last week!  I bought my license on June 1st and hit Riverton Pond that same day.  After that, it seemed like we were always fishing.  Whether it was me, my bro, Hoop, Loge, March, Hag, whoever, it was a blast!  Surprisingly, Riverton Pond has some pretty good sized fish.  I was getting skunked my first few times there but skunked no more!  It was fun to get out and just relax and not think about poker.



Saturday, after a morning of fishing with my brother and catching some decent ones, we went to the Utah Shock/Utah Wolverines game and what a great game it was.  To summarize, the Shock came back in the 4th quarter to defeat the Wolverines in OT and clinch the #1 seed in the RMFL!  Congrats to my brother and the entire Utah Shock organization (www.utahshock.com) for a great season and best of luck in the playoffs.  You've worked pretty hard to get where you are today, not just in football but life in general.  I'm extremely proud of what you've done with yourself and this team is just one example of many of the type of man you've become and the person you are.  To the Utah Shock:  Be proud of what you've accomplished this season but don't clock out just yet.  Go finish the job.  Worse defense in the league right?  I'm sad to miss the semifinal game but I'll be there in spirit and I'll be rocking my Utah Shock shirt at the WSOP.  Bring it on home boys!

Speaking of the WSOP, its right around the corner for me as I'll be heading down June 18th with Wil.  I'll be playing the event on June 19th so look for updates on www.worldseriesofpoker.com as they'll be doing live updates and chip counts.  I'm hoping you'll see my name at the top of that list somewhere .  I don't think I've ever been this excited to go play poker.  Even though I haven't been running the best in tourneys lately, I think it'll all come together for me in the next couple of weeks and make a deep run in one of these tourneys in Vegas.  I'm pretty amped up just thinking about it right now! 

On a side note, I LOVE being a dad!  Peyton is growing up so fast and I can see so much of me in her.  Her facial expressions, smile, everything!  You can already see Leana's traits in her too!  She's already giggling and laughing and before you know it, she'll be tallking and walking!  Love her to death.  Wouldn't trade anything in the world.  How could you, look at that face!
