Las Vegas Baby!
(Copied from old blog) Well, I haven't had a blog entry for a while. There just hasn't been much to say because I've laid low for a while in poker. I started to run a little bad and to stay encouraged, I limited my play. Now I'm here playing in Las Vegas, taking my shot, so I wanted to blog once more!
Thursday started a little on the bad side. When Wil and I got to the airport, we found out our flight was delayed about 45 mins. Well, we were originally scheduled to land about 12:30 Vegas time, which is going to be about 1:15 now. This put a damper on my plans as I had wanted to play in the Binions 2:00 tourney. Wil and I played some chinese poker at the salt lake airport and on the plane. Before even stepping onto the Vegas grounds, I was already up 2 points! Score me! Sure enough, by the time we checked in and got to our room it was a little past 2:00. Hyde was entered into the 2pm Imperial Palace tourney so we decided to go check on him. Of course, when we get down there, I elected to play in the live game. Bought in for 200, got as high as 350 - 380 and cashed out 19 for -181. Everything was going really well until I lost a hand when I held KJ vs AQ and he turned quads (QQQK board). With him having such a short stack, I really couldn't get away from the hand.
Later that night, I went and played Caesars 11pm $120. I did ok until i lost AQ vs AK on board of 27A, 2 spades, I had ace of spades. I couldn't put the kid on AK. The only reason why I called was not more than 7 hands ago, he called an all in with AJoff and the other guy had KK. Of course he spikes an ace. Well, what can you do.
Holdem pit game: +607 at Caesars, -300 at IP.
