My Head Hurts!
I went and played yesterday at our weekly game at Eric's house. I don't know if it was because I wasn't in the mood, my head pounding, or what but I put in a bad session. There was one big hand where I doubled up a guy when he hit his inside straight draw on the river (one of those 92% favorite hands) which was just unlucky, but I made a few bad decisions yesterday. I don't mind getting unlucky, it happens its part of poker. I HATE making bad decisions. I usually trust my instincts and my reads on players but for some reason, I was doubting myself. I'm going to chalk up yesterday as just being stupid and not concentrating. Cost for being stupid -120
Last Friday, June 30th, at Bruces, I was able to walk away positive in a mix game. NL Holdem, PL Omaha, and PL Omaha 8/b. Cashed out +145. Not too shabby. I'm starting to learn more patience with Omaha and not just getting in there because my cards look good. Give me about 6 months of consistently playing and I should get a good handle on the strategy. I have a game tonight at Bruce's. Lets hope things go better today!
